Lila M. Benjaminson, 85, of Lake City, passed away Thursday morning, March 24, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic Health System – Lake City Care Center. Private family burial will be in the Grandview Park Cemetery in Hopkins at a later date.

Lila Marie Pearson was born January 19, 1931 in Minneapolis, to Joseph and Dorothy (Wagner) Pearson. She attended school through the 8th grade. In 1948 she married George Huff, he died in 1972; in 1975 she married Melvin Benjaminson he died 2005. She worked many years as a nursing assistant and was a homemaker busy raising her four children.

Lila is survived by her children, Suzie (Terry) Duden and Denise Songer both of Lake City and Larry (Alice) Huff of Saint Michael, MN; a sister, Irene Hauglad and sister-in-law, Amy Pearson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a son and daughter, one grandson, and sisters and brothers.
