The graveside service for Linda Dianne Karsten – Smith will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester, with Deacon John DeStazio officiating.

Linda passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, St. Marys Campus.  She was born April 8, 1945 in Fort Walton Beach, FL to Gordon and Loretta (Pederson) Karsten.  She attended Golden Hill School in rural Rochester and graduated from Eyota High School in 1963.  On June 1, 1963 she married Kenneth David Smith in Eyota.

Linda was a hard worker and worked at various area companies.  In 1978 the Smith's moved to rural Zumbro Falls.  Linda enjoyed spending time camping and fishing, and loved the outdoors.

Linda is survived by her children, Patti (John Sperlingas) Smith of Lake City, and Greg A. Smith of Zumbrota; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a sister, Judith Ann Kettner of Rochester, and a brother, Morris (Lou Ann) Karsten of Zumbro Falls.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Kenneth in 1996.
