Linda Sue
Weinmann
Feb 26, 1955 — Apr 29, 2024
Linda S. Weinmann, 69, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Great River Homes in Lake City. She was born February 26, 1955, in Harvey, ND to Lawrence and Alvina (Majerus) Weinmann.
When Linda was 9 years old, TMR classes began, and she attended school in Millville, Oak Center, and Lake City. In 1980 she moved to Great River Homes where she was professionally supervised by dedicated staff who became as important to her as her family. Great River Homes enabled her to live a life of dignity and happiness.
Linda began working at Pro Act in Red Wing, MN, when she was 18. In 2019, she retired after receiving a special award for having worked there for 45 years.
Linda's favorite hobby was knitting, along with listening to Country Western music on TV or from her own CD and Tape collection. She also loved typing and computer work. Linda enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Disneyworld and Memphis, TN, going on a Disney Cruise when she turned 60, and a "Sisters only" weekend flying to Tulsa, OK with her sisters. She also enjoyed attending the "Jesus Cares" services. Her favorite thing to collect were Angels.
Linda is survived by her sisters, Irene Stasiak of Wichita, KS, Elaine (Florian) Reding of Lake City, Jean (John) Arendt of Cushing, MN, and Ann Marie (Michael) Beale, of Cookeville, TN; special friend and volunteer, Marian Mahoney of Lake City; several nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Linda always said, "Thank You for Coming", whether she was at your house, or you were at her home. As we say our "good-bye's" to Linda, we know the Angels of Heaven will be there to greet her saying, "Linda, Thank You for Coming".
Linda's family, Great River Homes, and Mayo Hospice lovingly assisted Linda in facing the challenges life presented to her. Family suggests memorials to Great River Homes and Mayo Hospice.
