Lloyd Albert Cutting, 82, of Millville, passed away at his home in Millville on Sunday, November 7, 2021. He was born May 24, 1939, in Rochester to Charles and Elaine (Kreutz) Cutting. Lloyd attended elementary school in Millville and graduated in 1957 from Elgin High School. He went on to attend DeVry Institute in Chicago. Lloyd served his country in the US Army. On September 24, 1966, he married Elizabeth Clauson in Spring Grove.
After their marriage they lived in Rochester for six years and moved to Millville in 1972. Lloyd was employed by Waters Corporation in Rochester for a few years, and then worked at Rite-Way Radio & TV in Rochester for several years before working for Gusa Electric in Elgin. Lloyd then worked for Professional Electronics in Rochester. He owned and operated Millville TV Cable System and Zumbro Falls System since 1976. He was a former Mayor of Millville, a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Millville, and the Millville American Legion Post #579.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Cutting, a daughter, Heather Cutting, and a son, Todd (Missy) Cutting all of Millville; four grandchildren, Jalysa, Alexa, Jasmine, and Olivia; and a sister, Eleanor Nygaard of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Arlene, and one brother Ronald "Chuck".
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, at Grace United Church of Christ in Millville with Pastor Ana Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery with military honors by the Millville American Legion Post #579. A visitation will be on Wednesday, November 10, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
