The funeral service for Margaret K. Luhmann will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 15th, at Trinity Lutheran Church – Lincoln in rural Lake City with Pastor Timothy Learman officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lake City.

Mrs. Luhmann, 95, of Lake City, died Sunday morning, May 11, 2014 at the care center at Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City.

Margaret Katharina Giese was born October 26, 1918 in Gillford Township, Wabasha County to Karl and Katharina (Tombarge) Giese. Margaret grew up and attended Wabasha County District #84 school. On October 10, 1947 she married John Luhmann at Trinity Lutheran Church – Lincoln; he died August 19, 2000. The Luhmann's farmed in rural Zumbro Falls for many years on the Giese Family Farm.

Margaret was a farm homemaker and enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church – Lincoln. She also had belonged to a card club and birthday club. Margaret was a former member of the Millville Senior Citizens, and served as its Treasurer and Secretary.

Margaret is survived by her children, June Rahman of Wabasha, Dallas (Sherry) Luhmann of Zumbro Falls and David Luhmann of Lake City; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her twin sister, Marcella Giese.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14th, at Trinity Lutheran Church – Lincoln in rural Lake City, and one hour prior to the service at Church on Thursday.
