Mark O. Mulholland, 64, of rural Dover, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. He was born May 25, 1958, in Rochester at the Olmsted Medical Center, to Milo and Elenore (LaBare) Mulholland. He graduated from Dover-Eyota High School.
Mark worked as a logger for a few years, and then was a union carpenter most of his working career. He enjoyed woodworking, was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, loved to play horseshoes, and go deer and bear hunting. At Christmas time he loved dressing up as Santa. Mark was an outdoors kind of guy that enjoyed life, spending time with family especially with his kids and grandkids. He would do anything for anyone if he could. He would give his shirt off his back if he could he truly loved his family and friends. Mark was a member of the Viola Bible Church in Viola.
Mark is survived by his children, Alicia (Shaun) Hoffmann of Plainview, April Wadsworth of Owatonna, and Adam Mulholland of Rochester; seven grandchildren, Katie, Kenzie, Kolten, Chase, Kooper, Boston, and Brian; nine brothers and sisters, Kaye (Ernie) Riera of Eagle, ID, Karen (Burt) Loeding of Eyota, Laurie (Gary) Meyer of Viola, Linda (Ed) Emerick of Waltham, Jack (Bonnie) Mulholland of Viola, Tom (Linda) Mulholland of Plainview, Darrel (Joni) Mulholland of Viola, Ron (Jean) Mulholland of Plainview, and Dan (Jenny) Mulholland of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Dylan.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 26, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, with Pastor Chuck Coggins officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Elgin Cemetery in Elgin. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
