The funeral service for Mary Lou Dondlinger will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Plainview with Father Joseph P. Pete officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Minneiska.

Mrs. Dondlinger, 84, of Millville, passed away on Sunday morning, August 20, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.

Mary Lou Montgomery was born February 15, 1933 in Winona, to Rollie and Rose (Walczak) Montgomery. She attended school in Saint Charles and Plainview, graduating from Plainview High School. On April 23, 1957 she married John Dondlinger.

Mary Lou worked for 20 years at the Rochester Methodist Hospital as a Unit Secretary. Mary Lou and John also operated the Corner Bar in Plainview from 1956 to 1960. They then owned and operated the Dondlinger Bar in Millville from 1960 to 1978. Mary Lou enjoyed visiting casinos and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, John "Jack" Dondlinger of Millville; a daughter, Tammy (Larry) Piotrowicz of Eyota, and a son, John (Lori) Dondlinger of Millville; 6 grandchildren, Katie, Jennifer, Melissa, Michele, Stephanie, and Sara; 6 great-grandchildren, Lauryn, Vayda, Wes, Willa, London, and Tristan; 3 brothers, Roy (Marge) Montgomery of Plainview, Donald (Carol) Montgomery of Lewiston, and Harry Montgomery of Saint Charles; and one sister, Janis (Jerry) Gagner of Fountain Hills, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters.

Friends and family may visit from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, at Schleicher Funeral Home, Plainview Chapel in Plainview, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
