Obituary

Mary Elaine Putratz, 78, of rural Millville, passed away at her home early Saturday morning, May 30, 2020. She was born September 8, 1941 in Rochester to Walter and Alene (Griffin) Coleman. She attended Lourdes High School in Rochester. On December 27, 1957 she married Gerald Putratz at St. John's Catholic Church in Rochester.

After marriage they lived in Rochester, and moved to West Albany – rural Millville in 1973. Mary enjoyed gardening, and especially loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church – West Albany, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, and was a catechism teacher.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Putratz of Millville; daughters, Jeannie (Pete) Starkson of Plainview, and Linda Putratz of Rochester; a son, Scott Putratz of Rochester; 7 grandchildren, Nathan, Anthony, Janessa, Matt, Phil, Erik, and Emilee; and 6 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by brother-in-law's, sister-in-law's, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ann Griebenow, and 2 brothers, Bob and Don.

A public visitation with 25% capacity will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church – West Albany in rural Millville, and the Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. with Father Matthew Fasnacht officiating, with 25% capacity.  A public graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester on Thursday, June 4.
