A Memorial Service for Matthew "Matt" Sell will be held on Thursday, December 17th, at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 305 1st Street NW in Elgin, MN, with Pastor Terrill Bramstedt officiating.

Matthew "Matt" Michael Sell, 63, of Plainview, passed away Monday evening, November 16, 2020 at his home. He was born October 7, 1957 in Rochester to John and Lucille Sell.

Matt graduated from Plainview High School. He grew up farming with his family and went on to operate and manage the family farm for the remainder of his life. He was a strong and kind man with a big heart. He was always an incredibly hard worker and would always find new projects to work on in his shop.

Matt enjoyed traveling and going for scenic drives looking for whatever adventure was around the next corner – whether it was an antique store, a unique diner or simply a stunning view. He also loved fishing and attending auctions across the country. He had so much love for his grandboys and his top priority was to spend time with and show them all kinds of new fun adventures.

Matt is survived by his parents, John and Lucille Sell of Elgin; his children Jared (Rebecca) Sell of Elgin and Ashley (Dan) Reller of Kilkenny; his girlfriend Michelle Tovsen; his grandson, River; Michelle's daughter, Sheila, and Michelle's grandson, Cruz; a brother, Dan Sell, of Elgin; a sister, Lori Reinstrom, of Rochester; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
