The funeral service for Maynard C. Conrad will be at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 27th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview, with Pastor Colleen Hoeft officiating. Burial will be in Farm Hill Cemetery in rural Olmsted County.

Mr. Conrad, 91, of rural Rochester, passed away early Saturday morning, January 17, 2015 at the Mayo Clinic Health System – Lake City Care Center in Lake City.

Maynard Carl Conrad was born April 17, 1923 in Farmington Township, Olmsted County, to Charles and Minnie (Seefeldt) Conrad. He grew up and attended the Olmsted County Rural School. On October 16, 1943 he married Avis Erickson in Lake City.

Maynard farmed in Zumbro Township in Wabasha County and Farmington Township in Olmsted County for 71 years. He served on the Zumbro Township Board for over 40 years. Maynard attended the South Troy Wesleyan Church in rural Zumbro Falls. Maynard always enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family.

Maynard is survived by three daughters, Judy (Ron) Haglund of Oronoco, Sandy (Tom) Haglund of Plainview, and Lori (Jay) Littlefield of Byron; one son, Kevin (Charleen) Conrad of Millville; a daughter-in-law, Julie Conrad of Rochester; 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Maynard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Avis on August 22, 2014, two sons, Randy and Jerry, one grandson, one sister, Mona, and one brother, Clifford.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
