Miriam Ardys Studer, 87, of Lake City, Minnesota and formerly of Burnsville, Minnesota passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2026, at Elysian Senior Homes in Lake City.

Miriam was born July 5, 1938, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Melvin A. and Mildred (Edberg) Fulkerson. She grew up attending school in the Minneapolis area. On June 25, 1958, she married the love of her life, Edward Studer. Edward was serving in the US Marine Corp at Camp Pendleton, California when they were married and they resided there until his discharge and they moved to Burnsville, Minnesota.

Miriam lived most of her lifetime in the Burnsville area. She was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed raising their two children and being involved in their activities. She liked to travel, enjoyed going on cruises, and traveled many times to Europe. Most of all she loved the family time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Miriam is survived by her two children, Lisa (Dick) Eekhoff of Red Wing, and Edward (Tammy) Studer of Apple Valley; two grandchildren, Ava (Dustin) LaRue and Jill Ann (Terry) Gasser; and three great-grandchildren, Leo Gasser, Bobby LaRue, and Eliza LaRue; and one brother, Melvin "Al" Fulkerson of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2009, and a sister, Arlene Koellen.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Thé Hoang officiating. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22.
