The funeral service for Nichole "Nikki" Rott will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin, with Pastor Terrill Bramstedt officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Elgin Cemetery in Elgin.
Nichole Joy Rott, 39, of Rochester, entered into her heavenly home on Monday, April 8, 2019 at her home at Hiawatha Homes in Rochester. She was born September 16, 1979 in Rochester, to David and Joy (Eggler) Rott. She attended school in Rochester, graduating from Mayo High School in 2002.
While growing up, Nikki, was involved in 4-H and went to Camp Winnebago. She currently went to PossAbilities of Southern Minnesota, was involved in RideAbility in Pine Island, and SPRED a special religious education at Lourdes High School. Nikki enjoyed her outings to family gatherings, concerts, picnics, plays, shopping, and church services. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin.
Nikki loved being pampered by the staff at the Ferguson House at Hiawatha Homes styling her hair and painting her nails. Nikki loved music and you would often hear her singing along to Celine Dion or children's praise music. Nikki would light up the room, as she would sing along with her Dad while her Mom accompanied on the piano. Nikki could brighten anyone's day with her contagious smile and her deep belly laugh.
Nikki is survived by her parents, David and Joy Rott of Elgin; siblings, Kimberly (Kris) DeFrang of Plainview and their children Chase and Reed; Kindra (Chad) Carlson of Pennock, MN and their children, Cael, Caden, and Conlan; and Bruce (Melissa) Rott of Elgin, and their children, Isaac, Lauren, and Anna; step-grandmother, Elaine Eggler of Rochester, uncles and aunts, cousins, and all her family at Hiawatha Homes who have taken care of her with great dedication and much love for 37 years. Nikki was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Marie Rott, and Casper and Violet Eggler.
Friends and family may visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Memorials are preferred to Hiawatha Homes or PossAbilities of Southern MN.
