Patricia Mary Willers' Obituary
The memorial service for Patricia Mary Willers will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30th, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City, MN with Father Joseph P. Pete officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Lake City at a later date.
Mrs. Willers, 76, of Lake City died after a short battle with ALS on Friday evening, October 25, 2013 at her home in Lake City surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born September 24, 1937 in Lake City to William and Irene (Harlan) Cronin. She grew up and attended McCahill Institute and graduated in 1955 from Lincoln High School in Lake City. She went on to attend St. Catherine's in St. Paul for one year. Pat lived her entire lifetime in Lake City where she met her loving husband of 56 years, Kenneth Willers. They were married on May 4, 1957 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City.
Pat worked for Kennedy Hallmark for 33 years. A job she loved and worked at until the disease made her too weak to continue. In her free time she enjoyed going to all her kids and grandkids sporting events, concerts, and anything and everything they were involved in! She also enjoyed visiting different wineries in Minnesota and Wisconsin with her husband and kids! Pat was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City, and the WCCW.
Pat is survived by her husband, Ken Willers of Lake City; children, Kathy Roeder of Stewartville, Steve (Swantje) Willers of Slayton, Scott and (Carma) Willers of LaCrescent, and Mary Pat (Jay) Anderson of Hayfield; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Leah (Bob) Druke of Richfield. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, including her step-dad William R. Ryan, son-in-law Mike Roeder, father-in-law and mother-in-law Ed and Frances Willers, and brother-in-law Keith Willers.
Friends and family may visit from 9:30 a.m. to the time of service on Wednesday, October 30th, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City. Pat donated her body to Mayo Clinic. Memorials are preferred to ALS Association and Red Wing Hospice, Red Wing, MN.
