Obituary

Patrick John Halverson, 75, of Kellogg, went home to our Lord on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the home of his daughter in rural Stewartville.

He was born on August 28, 1940 in Cumberland, Wis., the son of Joe and Lydia Halverson. Patrick attended school in Wabasha. He was united in marriage to Janice Sprick on March 12, 1960 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. This marriage was blessed with four children.

Patrick was a truck/bus driver for many years. He drove for Ind. Head, Wilson Trucking, Kennedy Bus, Rochester City Lines, Wabasha Sand and Gravel, Lee Lines, Strain Bus Company, and Richfield Bus Company.

Patrick enjoyed music, horses, camping, and bunnies. He especially enjoyed his green bus, going south for the winters for the last 30 years. Patrick enjoyed spending time with his grandson's. He also enjoyed the Kellogg Water Melon Festival.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice Halverson of Kellogg; four children, Pat (Sue) Halverson of Kellogg, Sue (Les) Radcliffe of Stewartville, Steve (Paula) Halverson of Kentucky, and Randy Halverson of Kellogg; three grandsons, Justin (Laura) Tibor of Eyota, Eric Tibor (Dreena Nerud) of Plainview, and Michael Halverson (Samantha Bronk) of Wabasha; one step-grandson, Stevie Schneider; two great-granddaughters, Annalise Dunn-Tibor of Plainview, and Mya Tibor of Eyota; and one brother, Richard Halverson of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son-in-law, Ron Tibor.

The funeral service will be Monday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview with Len Rollins officiating. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery in Kellogg. Friends and family may visit from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.

He will be greatly missed by family and all who knew him.
