Paul Alan Martinson, 56, of Rochester, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at his home. He was born October 3, 1965, in Osage, Iowa to Alan and Shirley (Ingebritson) Martinson. He grew up in Osage, Iowa and graduated from Osage High School in 1984. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1984 to 1989. Following graduation, he moved to Rochester and began an over thirty-year career in the Car Business from sales to management. He spent over twenty years at Adamson Motors in Rochester.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed being out in the woods deer and pheasant hunting. He also loved fishing, especially the time he spent with his sons on Lake Irene in Alexandria and his yearly "Fish Camp" trips with his buddies. He had a passion for grilling. He was always up for finding new recipes to try and grill and very much enjoyed having his family and friends try his creations. His three sons kept him busy as he followed them in their activities in school from football, wrestling and watching them show horses. He loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and passed that love on to his sons.

Paul is survived by his three sons, Alan (Abigail) Martinson of Plainview, Eric Martinson of Ely, and Luke Martinson (Sarah Ebin) of Plainview, granddaughter Ruby Martinson; partner Ana Morales Johnson of Rochester; his mother Shirley (Stan) Witham of Osage, IA; three sisters Christine (Dino) Straate of Waukesha, WI, Cathy (Brad) Woodiswiss of Lone Tree, IA, Monica Buchman of Kenosha, WI, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alan Martinson, one sister Meta Weber, one nephew Dustin Dexter, his maternal grandparents Herman and Alice Ingebritson, and paternal grandparents Oscar and Sarah Martinson, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family is planning a Memorial Service for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, at The Congregational United Church of Christ, 974 Skyline Drive SW in Rochester, followed by a luncheon and gathering time immediately following the service.
