Reuben Walter Lambrecht was born on October 10, 1919 in Hazelton, ND, and was wrapped in his Savior's loving arms and welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on May 28, 2016 at the age of 96 after a humble and courageous battle with cancer.
Reuben married Florence Sawinski on June 22, 1941 and together they built a faithful and endearing life.
Reuben loved his lifelong career as a farmer in Eyota, MN where he and Florence raised their seven children. Reuben lived a life of service as a public and parochial school board member as well as a teacher of Sunday school. Notably, he served the Lord alongside his wife through Laborers for Christ where they traveled across the United States, building at least eleven mission churches, expanding the Kingdom of Christ. Reuben and Florence retired to Bowstring, MN in 1977 where they enjoyed their quiet dream life on the lake.
Reuben was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Wrena (Benike) Lambrecht, son, Steven, grandson, Scott, one brother and two Sisters.
He is survived by his wife Florence in their 75th year of marriage. Also survived by children: Roland (Ann) Lambrecht of Rochester, MN, John (Nancy) Lambrecht of Buffalo, MN, Linda (Dennis) Tesmer of Lake City, MN, Reuben "Joe"(Carol) Lambrecht of Bovey, MN, Charles "Chuck" (Trisha) Lambrecht of Beaverville, IL, and Nancy (Greg) Garin of Brainerd, MN. In addition, 24 loving grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren survive and honor their grandfather.
A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cohasset, MN with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m.
Internment will take place Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Viola Cemetery in Viola, MN at 1:00 p.m.
