The Graveside service for Richard "Dick" A. Ohm will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14th, at Elgin Cemetery in Elgin, MN with Pastor John Curtiss officiating. Military Rites will be by the Plainview American Legion Post #179.
Mr. Ohm, 76, of Minneapolis, MN and formerly of the Plainview/Millville area, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in Las Vegas, NV.
Richard Allen Ohm was born December 24, 1937 in Blooming Prairie, MN to Raymond and Doris (Ward) Ohm. He graduated in 1956 from Elgin High School in Elgin, MN. Dick served in the US Army from August 29, 1961 to August 13, 1963 in France. On July 4, 1965 he married Pat Knabel in Milwaukee, WI and they later divorced. Dick was an over the road trucker driving for Barrett Moving & Storage of Eden Prairie, MN at the time of his death.
Dick is survived by one daughter, Tracy (Michael) Wynn, and one son, Richard Pendrick both of Kenosha, WI; four grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Pantel of Salinas, CA and Leanne (Peter) Weis of Plainview; two brothers, James "Jim" (Ruth) Ohm of Millville, and Paul "Chip" (Jan) Ohm of Elgin; friend Bob "Capt" Becastrom of Minneapolis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family will gather at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview, MN following the graveside service for a light lunch and fellowship.
