The memorial service for Richard Reinhard will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Joseph Pete officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Lake City.

Richard Charles Reinhard, 88, of Lake City, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.  Richard was born December 5, 1929 in Lake City to Charles and Ethel (Berg) Reinhard.  He attended school in Lake City.  Richard went into the US Army and served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict.  He fought both in North and South Korea, receiving the Purple Heart.  On July 14, 1951 he married Jean Murphy at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake City.

Richard was a heavy equipment operator owning his own business, and then worked for several contractors.  He enjoyed tractor shows, getting a new camper and going camping.  For 41 years Richard and Jean went south and would go hiking and fishing in the mountains.  He liked to go for rides, had a big garden and loved to garden.  Richard went on the Freedom Flight on May 12, 2018.  He was a life member of the VFW and the Disabled Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Reinhard of Lake City; a son, Don (Nete) Reinhard of West Glacier, MT; two grandchildren, Darryl Reinhard and Michelle McGillivray; and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.

Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or the Cancer Society.
