Robert John Haessig, 80, of Plainview, passed away at his home on Friday, January 1, 2021. He was born June 17, 1940 in Plainview to Delbert and Pearl (Raymond) Haessig. He attended Plainview Public Schools and graduated from high school in Iowa in 1957.

Robert was an over the road trucker residing in Plainview most of his life. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley for years. He especially loved his faithful dog, Brandy. Robert was a member of the Plainview American Legion Post.

Robert is survived by his two sisters, Rosemary "Mitzi" (Nathan) Johnson and Karen Bell both of Peoria, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jim, and four sisters, Norma, Janice, Donna, and Susie.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in rural Plainview. Memorials may be sent to the family at Schleicher Funeral Homes, 10 East Broadway, Plainview MN 55964.
