The funeral service for Robert Kock will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Red Wing with Rev. Todd Engel officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing.

Robert William Kock, 91, of Red Wing, passed away on Thursday morning, January 24, 2019 at St. Crispin Care Center in Red Wing.  He was born January 6, 1928 in Hastings, MN to Theophil and Veronica (Kerkow) Kock.  He grew up in the Goodhue, MN area, attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, graduating in 1950, with a Bachelor Degree in Education.  On August 9, 1953 he married Eunice Habermann in Collins, WI.

Robert taught in various Parochial Schools: Collins, WI, Hutchinson, MN, Hortonville, WI, Watertown, WI, Jenera, Ohio, Red Wing, MN, and Tawas City, MI.  After retiring from teaching he and Eunice moved to Winthrop, MN where they worked at Hands, Inc. for many years.  He enjoyed music, camping, and wintering in Mesa, AZ.  He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church.

Robert is survived by his children, Kathy (Ed) Church of Red Wing, Judy (Kim) Seipel of Pepin, WI, Char (Steve) Van Deusen of Red Wing, James Koch of La Crescent, and Doris (Rick) Romeo of Tawas City, MI; grandchildren, Lindsay Wood, Stephanie Hoeft, Aaron Seipel, Jamie Brown, Jackie Garding, Jason Van Deusen, Bryan Koch, Daniel Koch, Mitchell Koch, Nicole and Katie Romeo; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Pearl) Kock; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eunice, 4 brothers, Ted, Norval, Don, and Dave.

Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
