A Celebration of Life for Roger E. Siem will be from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Schleicher Funeral Homes and Cremation Services in Plainview.

Roger Edgar Siem, age 68, of Elgin, MN passed away peacefully at home.

Roger was born to Edgar and Henrietta (Henke) Siem on February 27, 1950.  He grew up in rural Rochester on the farm.  While attending Moorhead Technical College he enlisted in the Army National Guard.

Roger married Denise Link on Oct. 8, 1971 at Evangel United Methodist Church in Rochester.  The two moved to Colorado where Roger worked at McCoy Caterpillar.  In late 1975 they moved back to rural MN where Roger took a job at Road Constructer in Rochester.  The couple then began their family in 1976.  They raised three boys.

Roger is survived by his wife, Denise Siem; three sons: Jacob (special friend – Jan) Siems, Elgin, MN; Nathanael (Shannon) Siems, Farmington, MN; and Dirk (Amy) Siem, Hendrickson, NV;  6 grandchildren: Mason Holt, Keegan Siem, Lincoln, Hendrix and Emersyn Siem, and Sawyer Siem.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Father-in-law Kenneth (Dutch) Link, Mother-in-Law Bernice Link, and his sister Rosalee Connelly.
