The memorial service for Ronald A. Fuerstneau will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview with Pastor Krista Henning – Ferkin officiating. Burial will be in the Zumbro Falls Cemetery in Zumbro Falls.

Mr. Fuerstneau, 68, of Plainview and formerly of Elgin, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.

Ronald Alden Fuerstneau was born March 8, 1947 in Rochester to Alden and Dorothy (Sprenger) Fuerstneau. He attended elementary school in Hammond and West Concord and graduated from West Concord High School in 1965. He lived his lifetime in the Hammond, West Concord, Rochester, Elgin and Plainview areas.

Ronald worked as an electrician for Foster Electric in Rochester. He also worked on the Prairie Island Nuclear Plant, Sherco Plant in Becker, MN and worked at the Coal Gasification Plant in Beulah, ND. He enjoyed going hunting, and loved spending time doing crossword puzzles. Ronald also done some tree-farming. He was a sponsor member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and a member of the IBEW Union.

Ronald is survived by his sister, Janet Fuerstneau of Minneapolis; two brothers, Glen (Carol) Fuerstneau of Plymouth, and Richard (Ardith) Fuerstneau of Elgin; a sister-in-law, Fran Fuerstneau of St. Paul; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jon, sister-in-law Karen, and one sister Ann.

Friends and family may visit from 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, until the time of service at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview.
