Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie" Maurice Springer, 87, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the Mayo Clinic Health System – Lake City Hospital. He was born March 7, 1938, in Lake City, Minnesota to Carl L. and Helen (Krause) Springer. He grew up attending St. John's Lutheran School and Lincoln High School in Lake City. Ronnie served his country during the Vietnam Era in the US Army - 544th Ordinance Co. from 1961 – 1962. On October 17, 1964, he married Lorraine Glander at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City.

Ronnie was employed by Gould Manufacturing for 42 years as a Drill Press Operator. He enjoyed antique cars, and buying and selling saddle horses. Ronnie was a member of the Minnesota Street Rod Association, the Lake City American Legion and Lake City VFW.

Ronnie is survived by a brother, Carl G. Springer of Frontenac; sisters, Sharon (Charles) Silvernagle of Rochester, and Shirley (Gary) Quam of Bloomington; sisters-in-law, Sharon, Vonnie, and Delores; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Jim, Darrell, and Dana.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 12, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City with Pastor Robbin Robert officiating.

The family will host a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at TJ's Lakeshore Pub, 115 South Lakeshore Drive, in Lake City.
