Obituary

RoseMary Kelley, 93, of Rochester and formerly of Hammond, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Cottagewood Senior Communities in Rochester. She was born December 26, 1926 in New Haven Township, Olmsted County, Minnesota to Arthur and Helen (Murray) Kautz. She attended Rural Wabasha County Schools. On June 7, 1945 she married Charles Kelley at St. Clements Catholic Church in Hammond.

The Kelley's lived in the Olmsted and Wabasha County area, and from 1945 – 2009 she lived in Hammond. RoseMary worked for the Hammond School, was also School Bus Driver, and was employed at Security State Bank in Hammond for many years. She loved music, playing cards, and baking especially angel food cakes. RoseMary was a former member of St. Clements Catholic Church in Hammond, St. Patrick's Catholic Church – West Albany, and currently a member of Pax Christi Church in Rochester. She was active in church activities, served on St. Clements Catholic Cemetery Board for many years, and was a member of Catholic Daughters. RoseMary was also recipient of the Winona Diocese Bishops Medal.

RoseMary is survived by her children, Michael (Mary) Kelley of Iowa City, IA, Thomas (Melinda) Kelley of Zumbro Falls, Joseph (Sandy) Kelley of Rochester, Catherine "Cathy" (Duane) Schmiedeberg of Rochester, Patricia (James) Welch of Winona, Mary Keeran of Rio Rancho, NM, Sharon (Gary) Wheeler of Rochester, and Julie (Peter) Jarveis of Texas; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, John "Jack" (Cecelia) Kautz of Lake City, William (Patricia) Kautz of Rochester, Kenneth Kautz of Zumbro Falls, and Richard (Jane) Kautz of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, 2 grandsons', 1 son-in-law, a brother Don, and 2 sisters, Ruth Preble and Margaret Kieffer.

The family wishes to thank the care givers of Cottagewood and Mayo Hospice for the wonderful care that RoseMary received.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 21, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Clements Catholic Cemetery in Hammond with Deacon Jim Welch officiating. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to the family at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, 10 East Broadway, Plainview, MN 55964.
