Russell John Preston, age 69 of Plymouth, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth.

Russell was born on March 21, 1957, in Rochester, Minnesota, the son of Gerald and Mary Preston. He worked in construction before he retired.

Russell is survived by a nephew, Doug (Darla) Thompkins of Schenectady, New York and a niece, Chantel. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, Beverly Herrick, Jesse Preston, and Lyle Preston.

Russell wanted his body to be cremated and a burial will be at a later date in the Medo-McPherson Cemetery in rural Mankato, Minnesota.
