Sharon Haase, 85, of Lake City passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, after a 5-year journey with Dementia.

A faith-filled wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, she found gratitude in every day, and was loved beyond measure by her husband of nearly 69 years as well as her family and friends who surrounded her. A mother who loved unconditionally, and a friend to many through her lifetime, she took pride in seeing the good in everyone who entered her life.

Born on January 26th, 1940, to Orin and Verna Powers. She was baptized, received her First Holy Communion and was Confirmed which were important sacraments to her and the foundation of her faith. On January 19th, 1957, she married Jerome "Jerry" Haase at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City.

She and her husband lived in Rochester until 1967 before moving to Stewartville where they raised their six children and they lived for 38 years. They returned to Lake City in 2005 spending winters in Green Valley, Arizonia.

She dedicated herself to being a homemaker, enjoying being home with her children and being available for their school days. She created many great memories with an open door after school for their school age friends, volunteered at the school, attended their fun school events and even enjoyed coaching a few ball teams.

She was passionate about her beautiful flower gardens, wonderful cooking, and baking, her love for entertaining friends, and planning many fun parties which created wonderful memories.

Sharon enjoyed designing flower's part time at Donaldsons while living in Rochester. She enjoyed working during the holidays at J.C. Penney in the men's department and enjoyed holiday gift wrapping.

In 1982, she and Jerry opened up The Flower Cellar, where she enjoyed working as a florist sharing her talents servicing the Stewartville area. After closing their business, she worked at Himmer's in the floral and gift department. Sharon was active in the Stewartville community and really enjoyed being involved in the Friends of the Library and the many Holiday Home Tours. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church where she taught religious education and was an active member of the C.C.W. as well as the Winona Diocese Council of Catholic Women.

After returning to Lake City, she was an active member of St. Mary's C.C.W. and enjoyed organizing the Irish Dinners with her husband, working at Holiday Bazaars, and other fundraising events for the church.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Jerry, her children Kelly Haase, Mitch Haase (Pam), Cara Grisim (Doug), Jason Haase, daughter-in-law Ruth Ketterling Haase; grandchildren Amanda Wood, Josh Hasse (Liz), Justin Haase (Hallie), Mitchell Haase, Jr. (Kelsey), Emme Grisim Lopez (Celso), Rusty Grisim (Alexa), Alyssa Haase, Joseph Haase, Emery Haase, and 15 great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy.

Sharon is also survived by her sister and brother in laws, Janelle & Denny Francis, Mary & Jim O'Brien, Joanne Landers, Kitty Lawrence, Steve & Julie Haase, Liz Powers, along with many wonderful nieces and nephews who complete her family circle all of whom she dearly loved.

Sharon was preceded in death by her and Jerry's two sons, Christopher Ray Haase and Randy Joseph Haase, her parents, three brothers, three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law and her father and mother-in-law.

The Memorial Mass for Sharon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Thé Hoang, Father James Russell and Father Richard Dernek officiating. The burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at Saint Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Stewartville.  Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
