A Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home in Rochester with Pastor Colleen Hoeft officiating. Burial will be in the Dale Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in rural Zumbro Falls.

Sharon Joan Roland (79) of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 14th, 2019.

Sharon was born June 30, 1939 to Willard and Ethel Lynch. She grew up near Zumbro Falls, MN and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957 in Lake City. She worked briefly as a telephone operator at Northwestern Bell. She married Kenneth Roland on September 27th, 1958.  They spent sixty wonderful years together and had three children: Deborah Logan (Michael), Jeff Roland, and Terry Pearson (Jeff).

Sharon was delighted in selling Avon for the past fifty years and cherished the friendships she made.  She spent many years sewing and selling her creations at craft shows.  Sharon had a great love of family and friends, and a way of bringing everyone together.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, gardening and having picnics and grill-outs.  She enjoyed traveling regularly with her husband and family.  Most of all, she was proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent time with them as often as she could.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Ethel Lynch, sister Jean Spring, and son-in-law Michael Logan.

Sharon is survived by: Husband Kenneth Roland; Children Deborah Logan (Michael), Jeff Roland, and Terry Pearson (Jeffrey); Siblings David Lynch (Carolyn), Laurie Mork (Bart), and Marilee Hughes (Paul); Grandchildren Justin, Ashley, Melissa, Matthew, Lacey, and Amanda; Great Grandchildren Kylie, Grace, Hudson, Parker, Grant, Darius and Milana.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM   at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
