Sue Ann Ray, 77, of Bellechester, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, January 25, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Methodist Campus. She was born June 24, 1944, in Bellechester to Arthur and Evelyn (Reding) Majerus. She graduated from Goodhue High School in 1962. In October 1966, she married Allan Ray in New Mexico.

Sue and Allan moved throughout the United States following Allan's military career. They retired to Bellechester in 1994. She enjoyed playing cards, hiking in national forests, going fishing and outdoor sports. After moving to Bellechester Sue did a lot of public service work in Bellechester.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Allan Ray of Bellechester; two sons, John (Terry) Ray of Tullahoma, TN, and J.D. Ray of Montgomery, AL; five grandchildren, Kayla, Courtney, Melissa, Ben, and Jocelyn; two great-grandchildren, Case and Elania; a brother, Gervase "Jerry" Majerus of Bellechester, and a sister, Sharon (Joe) Hernandez of Maple Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother David, and a sister Angie.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellechester with Deacon Paul Tschann officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Bellechester. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday, March 19.
