The funeral service for Susan (Holmgren) Glander will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3rd, at St. John's Lutheran church in Lake City with Pastor Daniel R. Kroll officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City on Wednesday, December 4th, at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Glander, 61, of Lake City, MN died Wednesday evening, November 27, 2013 at the Lake City Care Center in Lake City.
Susan Jean Holmgren was born August 28, 1952 in Wabasha, MN to Howard and Delores "Dee" Holmgren. She attended school in Wabasha and Lake City and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. Sue went on to school to get her Lab. Technician degree. On January 17, 1997 she married Marvin Glander at the Little Brown Church. Sue worked at the Lake City Medical Clinic in the Lab for 23 years and then in Medical Records. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, traveling, and loved chocolate. Most of all Sue enjoyed spending her time with her family and grandkids.
Sue is survived by her husband, Marvin Glander of Lake City; one daughter, Nicole (Mike) McIntire of Prior Lake; one son, Matthew (Danie Maskrey) Schmidt of Savage, MN; three grandchildren; her mother, Delores "Dee" Holmgren of Lake City; two sisters, Carol Andersen of Red Wing, and Mary Beth (Jim) Brandt of Red Wing; and two brothers, Lowell "Hogey" (Carol) Holmgren and Larry (Deb) Holmgren, Sr. both of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the Church on Tuesday.
