Obituary

Warren Whitcomb Roberson, a well-known Lake City area farmer, age 93, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2020. He was the second born in a family of seven to Gertrude and Charles Roberson.  He graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City, where he was active in sports and theater.

During WWII, he served in the US Navy, completing an engineer exam, he was sent to Hawaii and made Port Director there.  On October 25, 1947 he married Jennie Nass at Oakwood Methodist Church in Millville.  To them were born six children. His wife, Jennie passed away October 11, 2012. Warren married Shirley O'Hara Polson on May 7, 2016.

Warren also had a love for forestry and conservation, he received numerous awards for both.  He was chairman of the Hilltop Oakwood Cemetery Board. Warren was a member of the Millville American Legion Post 579, and the Zumbro Falls VFW Post 1802.

Warren is survived by his wife, Shirley of Lake City; a sister Ruth (Robert) Hemphill of Hastings; his children, Martha (Rick Shouldice) of Calgary, Canada; Joan Buffington of Rochester; Judy Roberson of Millville; Dale Roberson (wife Jean Cole) of Des Moines, IA; Charles Roberson (wife Tammy) of Rochester, and Glen Roberson (wife Mary) of Mazeppa; he is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, one brother, and four sisters.

A private graveside services will be at Hilltop Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Steve Buss officiating. Military Rites by the Millville American Legion and Zumbro Falls VFW.
