Wayne Marvin Stoltz, 91, of Farmington and formerly of Plainview, passed away at Trinity Health Care on Monday, August 7, 2023. He was born in Plainview on February 27, 1932, to Arnold and Roselyn (Poepple) Stoltz. Wayne grew up in the Plainview area attending rural country schools and Plainview High School. In 1959 he married Ruth Clayton in Plainview and they later divorced. On April 19, 1980, he married Janet Tobe at the Church of Christ in Plainview and they later divorced. Wayne married Candy Zuniga and she passed away in December of 2010.

For several years Wayne lived and worked in the Twin Cities area following high school and returned to Plainview in 1972. After returning to Plainview Wayne was employed at Lakeside Foods in Plainview for many years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Wayne is survived by his two children, Beverly (Glenn) Hanson of Faribault and Ronald Stoltz of Winona; four grandchildren, Bryanna, Ethan, Nolan, and John; two sisters, Kathleen Sanden of St. Charles, and Ila Hoppe of Superior, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Candy, two brothers, and one sister.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel with Pastor Phil Augustine officiating. The burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in rural Plainview. Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview.
