Obituary

The funeral service for William "Bill" Kreofsky will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, at Faith Lutheran Church in Wabasha with Pastor David Knox and Intern Pastor Eliza Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Elgin Cemetery in Elgin.

Mr. Kreofsky, 87, of Eagan, and formerly of the Elgin/Plainview area, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Eagan Pointe Sr. Living in Eagan.

William Allen Kreofsky was born June 10, 1930 in Elgin to Henry and Vivian (Freishim) Kreofsky. He attended school in Elgin and graduated from Elgin High School. Bill served in the US Army following high school from 1948 to 1949, and honorably discharged at Fort Sill, OK. On June 24, 1950 he married his high school sweetheart, Lois Bany at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin.

Bill went into the family business, Kreofsky & Kreofsky, he also did Real-estate Development, and then created WAK Kreofsky Construction. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to hunt and fish. He also loved spending time at the cabin with his family, and also doing woodworking. Bill was active in his community. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Wabasha.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Lois Kreofsky of Eagan, sons, Steve (Stephanie) Kreofsky of Kellogg, and Brent (JoAnne) Kreofsky of Eagan; daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Fitzgerald of Edina; and daughter-in-law, Leslie Kreofsky of Edina; nine grandchildren, Alyssa, Brad, Kelly, Max, Drew, Peter, Haley, Nick, and Nathaniel; and three great-grandchildren, Jack, Noah, and Mackenzie. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dean Kreofsky, three brothers, and one sister.

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, at the church until the time of service.
