The funeral service for William "Willy" Siems will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview with Pastor Chuck Coggins officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.

Willy, 9, of Plainview died Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester Saint Marys Campus as the result of injuries sustained in an auto accident on Saturday, September 20th in Rochester.

William Thomas Siems was born August 18, 2005 in Rochester to Matt Siems and Crystal Bishop. Willy grew up in Plainview and was currently in the 4th grade at PEM Schools in Plainview. He loved to play video games, board games, and card games.

Willy is survived by his parents, Matt Siems of Elgin and his mother, Crystal Bishop of Plainview; two sisters, Faith Siems and Kaylyn Siems both of Plainview; his paternal grandfather, Orlo (Butch) Siems of Elgin; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Bishop of Stewartville; and two maternal great-grandmothers, Sharon Bishop of Rochester, and Sigrid Zalinsky of Stewartville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, and his maternal grandfather.

Friends and family may visit from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview; and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday at the funeral home.
